A question, a problem or something that could work better?

Include your phone model, iOS or Android version, Monee version and the steps that led to the problem. Please redact balances, names, phone numbers and transaction codes from screenshots. Never send your PIN, password or sign-in code.

Record a purchase

Use the central plus button, enter the amount, choose a category and save. You can also import a supported M-Pesa message. On iPhone, paste the message yourself; Monee cannot read the SMS inbox.

Export before changing phones

Open Settings and choose Export Excel report for this month, or export another period from Insights. Save the report somewhere you control. Signing in on another device does not restore your ledger. Uninstalling or clearing app storage can remove local records. Excel exports cannot currently be imported as a backup.

Android messages and notifications

Automatic recognition needs the relevant SMS permission and notification permission. Check both in Android's app settings. If you force-stop Monee, open it again before expecting new notifications. Some manufacturers also restrict background activity. You can always paste a message or record a purchase manually.

Accounts and privacy

An account is optional. For deletion, open Settings > Account & privacy > Delete account and verify with the same sign-in provider. Read what deletion removes.

Release availability

Monee's first public release is being prepared for Kenya. This website does not currently offer a public download or a public beta invitation.
